China is a developing country and needs industrialisation to pursue higher economic growth. However, industrialisation has been causing air and noise pollution to the environment and it is polluting the environment which was used to be a clean and hygenic one.
In my opinion, I think China should prioritise the need to keep the environment clean and reduce pollution. This is because keeping the environment clean will benefit the health of people, however, pollution of the environment will affect the health of people. Also, the threat of global warming is becoming more prominent and this shows that there is a need to reduce pollution. Keeping the environment clean can also make the scenery of places more beautiful as there would not be haze and unpleasant smells. However, the country would develop slowly.
Prioritising industrialisation can develop a country - to make it richer and more lively. People in the country will enjoy more wealth and better facilities. Also, the country can establish more trade with other countries and make more money, which is to the benefit of the country and its people. However, when China prioritise industrialisation, polluting of the environment will escalate and thus make it harmful to the human health.
Comparing industrialisation and the environment, I feel that keeping the environment clean is more important. It is because it gives people a long term benefit such as having clean air to breathe in. However, industrialisation only gives people a short term benefit of being richer. Therefore, comparing industrialisation and the environment, I feel that keeping the environment clean is more important.
