Through the process of preparing for this presentation, and actually presenting it, I have learnt many tips on how to make my presentation a good one.
For example, a good presenter should be well-prepared and know what he or she is going to talk about.
A good presenter should also be engaging and interact with the audience. The presenter can ask questions on the audience's opinion, and in order to avoid awkward situations like receiving no response, he or she should ask someone in the audience to respond with the appropriate answer for the presentation to carry out smoothly. Otherwise, he or she can inject humour into the presentation to catch the audience's attention.
Also, the presenter should speak clearly and with confidence, and maintain a good posture throughout. This will clearly show that he or she knows what he or she is doing, and thus the audience would pay attention.
The presenter should stand straight and not sway. He or she should also use hand gestures to emphasize the point, and also not make the presentation seem like just words without any action.
Furthermore, the presenter should memorize his or her script so as not to keep referring to the screen if there are powerpoint slides, or a hard copy of the script as it would cause him or her to have less contact witht he audience.
